Project Description

The Town of Apex enlisted the help of Stewart-Cooper-Newell Architects to help them find a comprehensive solution for housing the Police Department and the town’s 911 Communications Center.

Previously used as the Town Hall, the existing building that these groups occupied required major renovations and additions to provide the necessary floor space and address mission-critical security concerns.

The renovations, structural changes and additions that happened during the project transformed the existing facility from a 15,000 SF out-dated, single-story building into a two-story, state-of-the-art, new home for both the Police Department and the 911 Center.  The dated exterior was updated with a new facade that captured the excitement of Apex’s growing downtown area, and provided a prominent new public entry for the facility.
